Spinning wheels have been around for quite some time. Their shape and structure changed a lot throughout centuries of wood spinning. Today, their design has been pushed towards compact design and improved efficiency.

This particular spinning wheel is not the most compact design out there but it still uses ball bearings to reduce overall friction.

If the wood is not very nice looking, it’s because I only used reclaimed plywood and 2×4 which had been used to build a parking spot (some concrete remains on the 2×4). The main wheel was built using the outer frame of a bike wheel.
