I started oil painting in 2003 when my uncle showed me a few tricks. I started with still life models in order to practice my technique and then tried a few portraits and landscapes.

As a slightly colour blind person, I find landscapes to be the hardest. Greens are always giving me trouble but that doesn’t really stop me from painting what I want. Lately, I have been more interested in impressionism than trying to reproduce a scene to perfection. After all, we have cameras for that.
