This simple camera slider can be built during a weekend. It only requires basic tools and some common materials. The tripods and camera head can be found in photography stores or online and the bearings are available in any skateboard store. This prototype uses a .5 rpm DC motor which provides more than 2 hours travel on the rail. Using different motor, belt or gears can result in different speed.
